Our established Studio Lighting: Portraits Course is delivered by Cleveland Aaron, a highly regarded photographer in the fashion, music and portraiture industry and takes place in Cleveland’s private East London studio.<\/p>\n
For both beginners and intermediates, the aim of the course is to learn about the importance of light and how to control it as well as the relationship between photographer and sitter. You will work with natural daylight and studio flash and we will provide a ‘sitter\/model’ so each participant gets more hands\u2013on time taking photographs.<\/p>\n
You will concentrate on head and shoulders compositions and learn how measure exposure using the light meter, as well as getting tips on how to work with normal household lamps. You will gain confidence using one flash head and a reflector to create an evenly lit subject and towards the end of the day you will focus on group portraits.<\/p>\n
