2014 saw the seventh year of the Taylor Wessing\u00a0Photographic Portrait Prize\u00a0take\u00a0place.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

The prize was\u00a0awarded to fashion photographer\u00a0David Titlow for his intimate portrait of\u00a0his baby son being introduced to a dog.<\/span><\/p>\n

The \u00a312,000 award was presented to the London-based photographer at the National Portrait Gallery, London on Tuesday 11 November 2014. The winning portrait goes on show at the Gallery as part of the\u00a0Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize<\/i>\u00a02014<\/i>\u00a0from Thursday 13 November 2014 until\u00a022 February 2015.<\/span><\/p>\n

David Titlow\u00a0(b.1963) works as a photographer in fashion and advertising. He has exhibited widely and has been commissioned by numerous magazines and newspapers, including\u00a0The Guardian, The Sunday Telegraph, Vice\u00a0<\/i>and\u00a0Vanity Fair<\/i>. Originally a musician from Halesworth in Suffolk, Titlow switched to photography in the early nineties and has since worked in the industry.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a33,000 Second Prize:\u00a0Jessica Fulford-Dobson\u00a0for\u00a0<\/span>Skate Girl.<\/span>
\n Jessica Fulford-Dobson (b. 1969) has worked as a freelance photographer since 2000. Her photographs have been widely exhibited throughout Europe and have been published in\u00a0The Telegraph Magazine, Vogue<\/i>\u00a0and the\u00a0Evening Standard<\/i>.<\/span>

\u00a32,000 Third Prize: Birgit P\u00fcve for Braian and Ryan:\u00a0Her portrait is from the series\u00a0Double Matters for\u00a0<\/i>a photography book on twins and triplets living in Estonia.<\/span><\/p>\n

Birgit P\u00fcve (b. 1978) lives and works in Tallinn, Estonia. She has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions and has been commissioned by publications such as\u00a0The Sunday Times Magazine, The Washington Post, Der Spiegel<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0Ryanair Magazine<\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a31,000 Fourth Prize: Blerim Racaj\u00a0for\u00a0Indecisive Moment:\u00a0His portrait is from a recent and unpublished series entitled Young Kosovars\u00a0– a project triggered by the socio-political landscape in Kosovo.<\/span><\/p>\n

Blerim Racaj (b. 1964) is a London-based freelance photographer.\u00a0 Racaj grew up in Kosovo and studied Economics before moving to London in 1995.<\/span><\/p>\n
